Rwanda MNRE

Thrive Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd., through its African subsidiary Thrive Solar Africa successfully participated in the Rwanda-India Joint Working Group on Renewable Energy. It is the first Join working group meeting held in Kigali in February 2015. Thrive Solar was the only company from India to be part of the Indian delegation headed by Mr. Tarun Kapoor, Joint Secretary, MNRE, Govt. of India. The agenda was to set-up of a joint working group activities and some of them are listed below:

  1. Setting up a renewable energy park a solar PV power plant with the help of MNRE, Govt. of India
  2. Adopt a pilot village and install 100 solar home lighting systems (a pilot project by MNRE)
  3. Help build a business collaboration for Indian Renewable energy companies in Rwanda
  4. Facilitate more solar energy investments in Rwanda

Thrive Solar successfully presented its range of products and it’s work with MNRE, Govt. of India and Million SOUL project to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Rwanda. MNRE team together with Ministry of Infrastructure, Rwanda was happy to know about Thrive Solar of its accomplishments in the field of renewable energy and in East Africa. Thrive Solar expressed interest in setting up of a state of the art assembling plant to assemble affordable and quality solar lamps for distribution in Rwanda.
